Pugs are a little dog with a big personality. They live to love and be loved and bred for one reason: to be your friend. They will try to live on your lap, you eat, and sleep in your bed. They are very fun, outgoing, adaptable, happy, lively, and compassion. They need human companionship to survive, and it would be no good at all if left alone for long periods of time. Pug you will want and need to be part of your family. Pug will spend his life by your side, every time. They are excellent with children and generally good with other animals in the household. Pugs is a low activity dog. They enjoy the streets everyday, but don't need an hour of exercise every day. They don't like water (most can't swim) and they don't like Frisbee or ball. They like to lay on your lap instead. You'll need to be careful that the Pug You don't exercise to the point of being too hot. You have to be alert especially on hot and humid days. Pugs, due to their flat faces, simply cannot tolerate extreme temperatures and can die within a short time. They never would have left outside unattended. They love to eat (and eat and eat!), and are particularly susceptible to obesity. So you need to watch how much you give them and make them do some of the exercises. They are smart and trainable, but often slow to housetrain. They are also not the car-smart and would be safest in the fenced in yard. In short, these little people love lives to please you, and they expect it to be the center of attention. They're funny, arrogant, insensitive, and cuddly. But you should know that they tend to be sneezing, snorting and snoring ... and fart ... a lot. Hey, at least they do not bark much!
